what kind of boat is that.. someone needs to school me on boats. I recently got interested in getting a boat. considering I live like 150yds from Lake Erie I figure I should have one. How much did you pay for that badboy? I kinda just want something small yet haul able (w/ a ranger) for skiing and dicking around in.

 

It is a 21 FT four winns liberator 454.Paid 8G's like 10 years ago. That was a hell of a deal. Cuz with a 350 in them they are still worth 8G's. 454's are rare in these boats. Would not rec to tow behind a ranger.

My buddy has a jeep Liberty or sumthing like that with a 6Cyl and tows a 18 foot four winns open bow That tow's wakeborders good. And the jeep pulls it decent.

Its a nice boat and truck all you really need is some new wheels to really set it off

That thing is sweet man.. do post more pics tomorrow! So, you think id be alright hauling a 18ft or around that size? Are there any brands to stay away from or are they all pretty much the same?

 

You should be good with around 18FT. There is not many boats i heard bad about. Like four winns welcraft are good boats. I mean its up to you every boat is going to have its up's and downs just like trucks. I will talk more tomorrow i have to go to bed.

nice, i always liked those year for f-150s. i drove one for the summer and it had a sunroof.
i also want to consider a boat but it won't be for a little. nothing to big. but def. has to have a cabin to sleep in.

beautiful boat.. Nice engine.. My uncle has a speed boat with twin 400's.. that thing is a BEAST lol.. i can honestly say though, have never sean an 454 and that thing is BIG..

 

my moms ex bf had one with the 454 and thru hull exhaust...sounded strait beastly and ran like a scalded dog

nice. theres a guy around here that used to have a fountain w/ twin supercharged 500s or 510s. but he traded it for a bigger boat but still had the twin 500s. hasnt supercharged yet that ik of

 

do you have any plans for this motor or just leave it how it is.

but i have always heard that boats are just a hole in the water you throw money into

 

Only thing we plan is to rebuild the motor one of these winters.

 

I want a boat like you got man. you sure i can't haul that with a ranger, haha. that boat is slick I didn't know it had that little cabin area that's cool. you got all that for 8 grand that seems like such a steal. do they make 18ft with the cabin also?

Do you use your boat as often as you thought you would when you bought it? how often do you get out usually? I'm just trying to figure out if im going to lose interest after a while and maybe I should consider getting a older mustang to toy around with instead. what do you enjoy more your stang or the boat?
