Headlight mod complete!

Baked my corners and lights yesterday and today. Went fairly well, no cracking or melting thank goodness. I thought I would do something a little different and used duplicolor metalcast in smoke. It gave the lights a black chrome finish that is still highly reflective so I am happy with it.

Let me know what you guys think!

Letting the silicon cure tonight and I will have them on some time tomorrow.

I also did a quick write up how to for the corners since I could find no info on how to do the corners ( even though it is almost identical to the headlights)

https://www.ranger-forums.com/f59/ho...lights-105069/

those of you that have done the corners post up if you have any tricks to add.

Thanks guys in the sun it looks freaking awesome! I bought a set of painted black headlights and 06 corners from Justin about a month ago and just thought the gloss black was kinda boring so I figured I would try something new on my stock lights while the black ones were on the truck.

No problem man it was an easy one to do and hopefully it will save a few corners from being melted lol, I was really worried about melting mine.

a little bit of foging in the lenses but the bigger issue is one of the lenses flew off! apparently I did not let the silicone cure long enough. so all that work for nothing! any body got a clear corner lens or corner they want to get rid of?

I have a set of 04 amber corners for sale. Don't know if they will work for you or not. If so, PM me.

That last pic, you can really see the black chrome look of the paint in the corner.

But on the bright side I did at least get the blinker mod done.

Very nice, I was actually thinking about doing the same thing with the same paint just a little lighter a while ago but decided to just do a light tint on the housing instead. Came out pretty good looking except for the problems lol

Ya I am really happy with the look, just gonna pick up a cheap set of white housing clears of ebay and steal one of the lenses then just seal them up really well.
