You beat me to it. I'm about to do my bumper and valance. I have all the materials, just no time and ****ty weather. Looks good though. Can't wait to see how mine turns out.

thanks everyone

as for cost i put about 160 in it. i bought the regular kit, then an extra quart for flares and had to run out and get yet another quart to put it on a little thicker where i could still see blue.

i prepped it very well, used a wire wheel and took it all the way down pretty much what that picture looks like i think it came out great. im pretty optomisitc about it because i used that crappy duplicolor bedliner and it was chipping a little but for the most part held up great.

i did not put it on very thick but it looks great imo for what its worth it is good for me. i dont use the bed to haul crap i usually just put atv stuff back there. i couldnt bear spending 375 for the bedliner plus 200 for flares and valence...thats just too much.

im happy with it!

greeeeat lol just what I wnt to hear. I'm goign to put the uv protectant on it this weekend, but I know a few people with it and no one had that problem yet...

01 ranger 4x4 04-21-2009 09:00 PM

yea ridabike is correct i had mine for a year with out the uv stuff and it faded bad and eventually began to see through to the paint but now i just redid it and used the uv stuff and that was a month+ ago and it still looks new but it does tend to peel with aggressive use but its easy to fix but yea that valance is gonna be a ***** to clean bug splat off of

I had it bedlinered before...it's easy.

I hope I don't have fading/chipping probs, I've heard bs of people saying that beofer but it's always people that don't have it. The few people I know with it have no problems. I don't haul rocks or gravel or anything so its not an issue. If I have to repaint it...I'll do it, but it's a small inconvenience for the facts. It can't be much worse than my flares with duplicolor...

nah you should be good only time i had a peeling prob with it was when i hauled 75lb concrete blocks that i was too lazy to pick up so i just slid them kinda my fault on the peeling but it can happen

yea this stuff seems pretty solid...I don't forsee many problems. I paint a lot of stuff and I had some major chipping on the atv...I am going to have the bumpers and racks line-xed...at least do something right ;)

Looks pretty good to me. Do you have any pictures of the whole side of the truck from a bit father away. I want to see how it looks on the flares from a distance.
