HIDs in the Off-Road lights...finally
thanks for the link to the dremel kit guys, that is one nice kit!!! it has most the stuff I need to do a HID retro, and LED tail conversion, now I just need a lot of money to buy all the stuff...lol
Pretty much......i made the light tabs at work, a member sent me the perfect material for a crossmember. Bolted the 4 lights, bam done. They'll go back on soon. I found some 1/2 x 2" channel that i will chop/grind/plasma one of the channels off of to make a beefy new crossmember.

Shane are all 4 of yours the same type of light?
I am thinking of when I get my cross bar, to move my HIDs to the middle for distance and putting floods on the outer mounts as advised by another member on here

So on a random note, and a bit of a bump on this kick *** subject.. I will probably be looking at getting an h3 conversion for my rally 800's so I can attempt to stick them behidn the grill to make room for some driving/fogs on my front end bull bar..
DO you still happen to have the link to the set you ended up purchasing? I am interested in the h3 4300k's for the long range 800's

i just bought them off ebay...don't remember who the seller was. i have had good and bad luck with HIDs on there. I went back to halogen in my headlights as the HIDs worked intermittently.
i had some other set before i bought these and the quality on these is no comparison. the harness is all 16 guage and really nicely made and the bulbs havent let me down yet.
Hey old thread on your KC lights, did you ever check the difference between the 100 watt halogens vs the HID and did you purchase the 35 watt or 55watt.
I may get the 55 Watt kit, or just leave them all halogen, if the 55 watts are worth it I will do 8 lights with HID since the current draw will be less. 4 Up top long range, two driving and two fog.
DDM kits and KC halogens are far cheaper than buying HID kits from anyone direct.

Ooooooooh, never knew there were different ones, I have been out of the loop for too long.
