hurst installed!
shortens the throw of your shifts by alot! also it tightens up your shifter slop
If memory serves me correct, it shortens it by 38% or something like that
there is a pretty good write up on RPS, but I can't get into the tech section.
oh BTW, best thing I have done to my truck

shorter shift throws=faster shift times, that lovely "click" when you find your next gear, the wonderful look of billet aluminum, and the pride of everyone that sees the interior of your truck going "dude, is that a freaking hurst shifter?"
What it does most, is move the pivot ball...stock is inside the transmission. hurst moves it to out and above the transmission...that's where the 'short' comes into play.....the arm is phiscally shorter because of the relocation of the pivot.
so....shortend shift throws(1-2, 3-4 and tighter and narrower 3-4, 4-5), more positive shifts, the awesome clicking sounds it makes...the awesome gears turning sound from the trans gears meshing is awesome...but sometimes noisy at times.
I love my hurst that i got off craigslist for $120. Had it on the truck for 1.5years or so...absolutely love it.
