Icon9 I got rear ended :(

well as the title says someone rear-ended me thursday night when i was driving to my friends house. at first i thought just the bumper and towing package would need to be replaced but today we took it to ford and they said that i shouldn't be driving it because it looks like the frame could possibly be bent in the back...
heres some pictures of the damage

and this is what happened in the interior when i got hit

insurance should cover everything but its still frustrating because you cant get the re-sellability back...

nah. until we took it to Ford i thought the only thing wrong with it was the bumper and the towing package but they say there could be frame damage...

those radio install kits just snap in, nothing but plastic snaps, no screws. the audio shop didn't install it wrong, it's just how those kits work

Not too shabby, mine was like that last year. 4 hours, a map torch and a bfh and it's straight again. How fast was the person going?

Sucks, shouldn't be too bad a fix though, looking to see what the insurance quote is. Mine was around $1600. I was at a dead stop and the guy hit me going 40 and my truck lived to see the day. Your truck's pretty new though, they may backhalf it

The rear half of the frame has rivet-like thing's attaching it to the front half. Basically they replace from that part back. I looked into it before i just beat mine straight. Someone else will chime in eventually and explain it better

That is a possibility, depends if it's cheaper for them to fix it or for them to total it. My damage was a tad bit worse than yours on a 10 year old truck and they didn't total it.

well its not totalled :)
its getting fixed right now and i should have it back better than it was before the accident (free new head unit and free new sub and free new bumper and new towing package). it turns out the frame was not bend at all. they said the bed was jarred out of place slightly but they said they would just take the bed off and re-align it to factory specs and it was no big deal. the estimated cost to repair it was $1,200 and i should be getting it back by either friday or early next week

when i was rear ended, my deck also fell out like yours. also look into "diminished value." you might be able to get more money because of the damage done.
