Pic works for me. After driving 30 min today I really like this muffler. Its so much quieter in the cab but you can still hear it a little bit. Once you step on it, it roars. Its so much better than no muffler, it doesn't sound as ricy in the high RPMs. I'm happy with it

I like how the flows sound on the ol 3.0 they sound much deeper to me, but mine is just loud as crap... I was considering a flowmaster but my twister was cheaper and drag guys use them... plus every stang has one in town and they just sound sick with it on.

Glad that you like it.

does the 44 sound like the 40 at all? I have the flowmaster 40 n i wouldnt change it. it sounds great all the way threw the rpms, it does get aloud, n it used to sound kinda "ricey" but after it broke in it sounded great!

They made the super 44 to ultimately replace the original 40 series... Basically the same internals, smaller casing.. It is however different from the super 40, as i believe (note, said believe) are slightly more different internal wise. Super 44 was made strictly for sports cars, mustangs of the like that have limited space, hence the smaller casing it has..

I don't know that 40 sounds like, once I meet back up with therangerofdanger we can compare, he has a 40.

Are you sure its smaller, it looks like the same size as the 40 delta flow I had but sold a while back.

Yeah I just checked Flowmasters site and they're the same size, 4" X 9.75" X 13"

I can say enough good about magnaflow. its like the perfect sound for the 4.0. I had a flowmaster originally. it lasted about a month cause it was ridiculously loud, and very annoying while cruising on the freeway. I had a full tail pipe too, not dumped. around town it sounded great, but that got old real quick.

Super 44 = Super 40 in a more compact package with very slight differences internally.

They still make all their old school Original 40's and I highly doubt they'll discontinue them...as they are the most bad *** sounding muffs on a v8 period. ORiginals have one deflector plate compaired to the tripple deflector plate (delta flow technology).

I think my mileage might have gone up as well with putting this muffler on, I was cruising at 55 on the way home this morning and i was getting 22 mpg. We'll see at the end of this tank.
