One looks better, but both look good. Since the flamed part is raised I'd go with the second one because your foot will contact the raised part more and potentially wear off the paint in the first design.

I like the looks of #1 but unless you powder coat them the paint will wear off. I would go with #2.

The looks of number 1 are way better but I think you might wear the paint off.

#1. just got to figure out how to keep the red paint from wearing off. #2 has to much red I think.
