hey guys i just picked up some lights from r0ng5 and got them in yeaterday. i had them orininally in the holes in the bumper for the license plate but i was advised that they were kinds useless so low and close together. So today i loves them to where they are this morning. i used the dremel and mounted them where they are now. what you guys think???

Well spacers are obviously going to make it wider. It looks good though that's why I asked.

are the KC's mounted to the lower portion of your grille surround? if so, the light beam is gonna bounce all around when you use them. looks good, though

FULLSCALE 06-15-2010 07:11 PM

seed60 06-15-2010 07:13 PM

My lights are mounted on the lower part of my surround and they don't bounce around at all

odd. i put some cheap ass driving lights that only weighed about 1lb and that beam was bouncing all around. well, if yours doesn't, thats cool

Did you tighten it down really tight? After I re-tightened mine, they haven't bounced since, but then again I may have drilled through sturdier part of my surround

rstangboi 06-15-2010 11:01 PM

looks great! nice stance too

Looks great! I have the same grill as you but I want a set mounted behind the grill. I don't know how you don't have enough rom behind the grill for those lights, I got lots of room
the only concern I have is blocking air flow to my rad

idk maybe i was totally blind haha... but yea i thought about that too by i think that it will be fine... esp with the honeycomb grill alot of air gets through

ranger4.0 06-15-2010 11:16 PM

I think if the grill was off you would find a much better mounting area to make them fit behind. I'm going to try really soon me tinks

01RangerEdge 06-15-2010 11:16 PM

I haven't noticed a temp change with my lights behind the grill

04_xlt_4.0_4x4 06-15-2010 11:17 PM

well i did it with it off then off but i couldnt find anywhere and also people really warned me about melting our grills..... i was afraid of that
