Long travel ranger

My buddies and I built my buddy some +5in arms for the front of his ranger. He took out the front axle and cv shafts so it's 2wd if you were wondering. We did all of this in one night. Part of the pics are the arms and comparison pics to the stock arms and them on the truck. He recharged his shocks for the new set-up so it doesn't sit quite as flat anymore...

99ranger4x4 02-03-2009 07:43 PM

Must be nice to have money to throw away just cause you wanna build something. You guys should plan things out better! This is like the 3rd thread like this.

Truck looks good though.

lol sounds good to me. I love all of the haters on this site. It's amazing how some things can actually defy the odds and work! Hmmmm. Must be a miracle!

It looks even more badass with the wheel spacers on the front. He took those off so it's "more" street legal until he gets fiberglass fenders.

99ranger4x4 02-03-2009 11:57 PM

sooo
mondo extended control arms.. using stock ball joints.. and wheel spacers on top of that?

Redneckstone 02-03-2009 11:57 PM

i not bashing you did it good for you.. still needs more work to ever go proper dune jumping tho...

i still wanna know how the tie rods hooked up, is there like 2 threads still holding on? or did yall weld some all thread in there?

Redneckstone 02-04-2009 12:07 AM

just wondering why did you leave the stock jack point on the arms ment for the stock bottle jack?

99ranger4x4 02-04-2009 12:08 AM

its the bump stop man.
