Gross, no wonder why you're getting rid of it!
Just kidding! I'm not a fan of everything on it, but overall it looks great. Thanks for re-enforcing my desire to go with a 4" lift instead of 6". Now I just need to find a pile of money.

thanks
yea i hear ya, i can't belive how much the rancho went up over the years, damn! i haven't seen a kit with shocks for under 2grand, most i see are 2200-2500.
thanks dude, i hate flares personally, but i didn't wanna chip my paint to hell and it keeps the cops from hustling me about my tires sticking out 5 inches in the front,
i am 90% sure i am buying that blue lifted 99 i posted a few weeks back, gonna get rid of the bodylift it, 33 km2's, new rims, 04 front clip--nothing too major, gonna buy a car too

i dont remember seeing that one. ill have to go back and see if i can find that post.
that rangers got some potential for sure. how wide are those rims? they really destroy the look of the truck being so much wider than the tire. im interested in seeing what you do with that truck.
I don't like the flares either. I don't mind some of the color matched flares without the dimples, or some of the black ones without the dimples.
What I hate is that most of the lift kits require no more than 4.5" backspacing so the tires stick out so far. I think rancho is one of the few that can run stock backspacing but isn't the front end wider than the rear? I read somewhere that it is around 2" wider each side and even comes with CV spacers up front or something..? I do want new wheels eventually but not that stick out as far. I could spend the money for a lift right now but I don't really want to fork over all the money for a lift and wheels all at once. Plus then I could re-gear for just the price of the lift. Decisions decisions!
Rough Country has a 4" lift for $1200-1300 with just spacers up front, and superlift has a 4.5" lift for $1800ish with spacers up front. I found the superlift online for $1400 from a couple of places, that's what I would more than likely end up with, running 5100's on the stock setting for a while.
Do you have any pictures looking from right down the side of the truck, either from the front or back?

the rough country kit is like most rough country stuff, made very cheaply. i could have picked up another rancho last week brand new for 1000 bucks, didn't need one, so i ddin't buy it lol. now that superlift is bankrupt, i would be leary of buying there stuff new, but i am sure parts will be around for a while. i know a guy who lifted his silverado and they sent him the wrong kicker braces, they won't return his calls, that's BS
setup i got now

my first 20's moto metal 954's

20x10's with no flares, stick out much, lol

my winter wheels, i die a little seeing it like this, but it's only winter lol.

without a doubt
yea i am hoping so, i should have less than 7500 bucks total in this one with the truck price, can't beat that with a stick, lol

hell no, thats a great deal
yea i thought so, i just need to buy that pesky driveshaft or just burn out stockers every 20k miles, the rest is just cosmetic, lol. i wish some company make a cheaper replacement.
can you drop the front diff without removing anything else?
can you drop the front diff without removing anything else?
PM fx4wannabe01 and ask him about the replacement front shafts, i think you can get them out of an axloder or something, im not sure on that. i have the $400 superlift shaft and it started vibrating after about 1000 miles. i went through 3 stockers before i got that one.
I'm not a big fan of the rough country stuff personally.
I haven't heard of problems with the superlift, but I have heard the pro-comp kits get sent out with the wrong or missing parts.
Where did you find the Rancho kit for $1000 new? Hmm...
I'm still not a big fan of the wider front of the Rancho kit but I could run some 8.5" wide wheels with 5.75" backspacing I think on it, so it would be tolerable I guess.

Craigslist. All f150 lift kits all to track width. the fabtech is the only other kit that allows stock rims and increase the front like 3 inches or more. keep an eye on the user vehiclecustomaccessories on ebay, they are the company that does waldoch conversions, my buddy picked up his lift from them off ebay for 700 bucks without shocks, they had listed as only 04, but the only difference between the 2 kits is the brakes lines are different.
