My new truck! Picking it up tomorrow... hopefully
Well i finally found one... in the price range, and what i want. Im picking it up tomorrow... unless for some odd reason it gets sold out from under me lol I've been keeping in contact with the dealership, so i doubt it, and they know im coming in tomorrow. Anyway... on to the pics... and details
2000 Ranger XLT 4x4 4.0L OHV!!!! :) Loaded 92K miles $5995 and now the pics.... http://images.autotrader.com/images/..._A.562x421.jpg http://images.autotrader.com/images/..._A.562x421.jpg http://images.autotrader.com/images/..._A.562x421.jpg There are a few things i need to fix... - Center console needs replaced, armrest is missing and its loose - Right rear taillight is cracked - Power door locks don't lock/unlock (they try too, but they just don't seam to do it) - Vacuum leak (i hear it under the dashboard on the passenger side) It was taken care of, no rust on the truck at all... bought locally and taken care of, oil changed every 3K miles. What do you guys think? Im a dark blue twin of Zachs now lol -Brad |
Looks good to me for 6k. Its a nice truck, i say go for it.

gen 4's > sliced bread .......

Brad the door locks are simple to fix and the siloniods are CHEAP i had to get them for mine, both mine where blown and then found out my drive side lock switch was also blown LOL...
let me know when its body lift time lol |
I wasn't really sure what it was, but now i know that'll make it easier to fix lol That thing in the door that registers the door closed is broken too (common i guess, my 96 had the same problem) so im gunna have to get that taken care of so i can have a dome light again lol

Its everything i wanted that i didn't get last time i had a ranger, im excited. I love that color... not looking forward to keeping it clean, but love that color lol Like i said it needs a few things fixed, but i can take care of it easily. The only thing ford might have to fix for me is that stupid thing in the door that tells the truck the doors are closed so it can turn dome light off.

Squirt a bunch of WD40 in the latch on the door and open and shut it about 15 times and that should do the trick to get the lights off.

You have any plans for the truck yet?
|
So far... Clear corners, Tint, Dual Exhaust dumped out behind the rear tires, bigger tires, Possible lift down the road, Explorer overhead console and dimming mirror... thats about it for now lol

on the 4 doors its the silnoid that goes bad you take off the door panel then take off the door latch you need to disconnect the lock rods from it too. then pull it out.. replace the silonoid, it snaps into place REALLY simple took about 10 min a side..

Well unfortunately this truck fell through... so back to looking again lol Dealer told me one thing when i was there the first time, get down there with everything i was told i needed, and they couldn't do anything. Needless to say, im a lil miffed
Its ok, i got a chance to take a lil better look at the truck, and so did my stepdad... its probably better off this way. Now i gotta keep looking, will give me time to bank some more money lol -Brad |
