New body matching paint & more mods with *Pics*

I haven't been too busy on here lately because I've been busy working on my 04. I've been painting some interior/exterior trim to match the body paint perfectly. I have a few quarts of dupont sonic blue base-coat, and clear-coat. I also got myself a new compressor and gun and wanted to use it some.

Painted the exterior door handles (mirrors were painted to match the body in summer 09)

Painted the rear liscense plate LED holders, as well as I painted my liscense plate surround, and bondo-ed in a reverse camera so I could see backing up (the tint I have is really dark)

Painted some interior trim to go with the painted interior trim pieces I did last summer already:

I also installed the F150 Reverse LCD screen rearview mirror into this truck (I already put one in my white 2003) so I could wire it to the camera that I bondo'ed into the license plate surround. Here is a pic of what it looks like when I put the truck into reverse.

Like everything but the interior trim. Of course that's a personal choice.

Yeah I need to polish them still, they catch the light differently then the body too. I did not sand them down, I kept the grainy plastic finish, just painted it.

Do you think the door handles will last with people fondling them all the time?

I painted them the same way I do for customers all the time. Never had a problem yet. Also I'm the only one fondling with them unless they are cheating on me. I don't let anyone in my truck.

Yeah I'm not into woodgrain or ford plain plastic interiors. I love sonic blue and how the LEDs I have reflect off the clearcoat.

It's only 5 wires.

1 remote, 2 signal, Power, Ground. I have another F150 LCD sceen mirror and the F150 harness that clips in and has the wires. I'm selling my spare if you want it, with instructions included. You can get the camera on eBay for 25$ shipped.

you sound like a lonely, lonely man there.

i like the bottom of the seats painted, and around the door handles on the interior trim. everything else is over the top. looks like anything that was removable was taken off and painted. personal opinion though. the camera is pretty cool. although i got dark tints and there's nothing i cant really see...cool none-the-less.

I know you have heard it already but the outside is nice touch, the interior, the seat bases, yes but the rest a little over the top for me, altough the blue interior lighting is interesting (LEDs I assume).
Nice painting though, good job.

Nice work keep it coming, you always add to my list of things to do.
Thanks,

Yeah - The interior is just a preference to me. If I'm not atleast a little over the top it wouldn't be me.

Sounds like someone else I know or should I say a few guys from this sight alone.

Nice work.

I put in the Fat Mat and now I am going to remove the floor plate for the Dual Stick Swap, should have thought that one through a little more, going to be sticky.

Oh - I totally prefer the older style that are unlike any of the newer ford ones. Plus mine aren't black and chrome like stock - they are silver finish that matches the finish of my center wheel caps.
