"New" emblems

So I decided to paint my emblems, I picked up an extra set to do it, that way if I didn't like it I would still have the factory emblems in good shape.

I know some guys will say I should get 06+ emblems but I prefer the old ones, the newer ones have too much chrome for my taste

I scuffed the surface lightly and sprayed krylon fusion flat black. I didn't go very thick because I noticed some of the metallic was still showing through underneath. I liked the way it looked, so I threw on 2 thick coats of clearcoat.

I really liked the way it turned out, and I think I'll leave em like this

Looks good, I like those more than the 06s too now for some reason. The rectangle style got old

If you decide to paint again I hear oven cleaner takes the chrome right off plastic.

Came out good. I kinda want to find myself a non-xlt set as well and spray them black. I like the way they look on red as well as blue.

Those look somewhat familiar...

They turned out nice.

I got another set today, but they're not chrome like those were.

I like my painted XLT emblems so much that I bought a few extra sets to plaster all over my tool boxes, garage door (inside) & wherever else I can get 'em to stick.
