Looks good man. Real clean. What did you do for the trans shifter extension?

AHH Trevor long time NO see man. Good to see your back on here. Glad to have you back...Well at Lowes they had a section with a bunch of diff steel..So i found the one that looked closest to the one shane had a pic of, and sawed her down to size. Its about 1" wide, 1/4" thick

You didnt have any problem to shift it in 2wd, i wasnt able to reinstall the shifter bezel after the bl. Ill have to take another look at it, my bracket is nearly identical to yours so it should pass also

Have you cut the rubber isolator under the bezel from the pic i would say no but not shure thanks

Yeah Fred....trimming of that chrome bezel is required. I've driven 4 twin stick trucks(all stock) mine being the 5th and it's the best performing tcase shifter I've shifted. No awkwardness. 2hi to 4lo....no issues at all.

I hacked up my rubber grommet stuff.....but now regret it and hope ot make a replacement soon.

Have any pic of the trimming needed, just went to my truck with the bezel to see. If i could get it to work it would be great, i hate the look with nothing over the shifters. The only other solution i though about was to move the engine and tranny up on the support which is really easy has the engine support plate are straight, not at an angle like most ive seen. The + of that solution would be to get the nearly the entire mechanic over the lower section of the frame so i could plate the underside.

I started out with a FUBARRRED(messed up) chrome bezel thing. The previous owner bodylifted it and used no extentions or anything on any of the shifters....all but 1 of the mounting screw areas were messed up and broken up. So it already had some broken up parts. The rubber stuff was messed up too, and I was stupid and cut up the boot floor crap on the tcase side.

Here's what I got right now...

The trimming of the bezel was namely on the front and side of it...see pics... the other crappy areas were already crappy from the previous owner...

I've been meaning to get a nice thread made of all my pics and everything so that any questions would be answered in regards to bodylifting a 02-03 'twin stick' Fx4.

shane aint driving to KNOX!! But I'll be there..

Shane DUDE, your truck is dirty man..lol
My bezel trimming and your looks a lot different...Dude I dont have but 1 clip holder left that works, all the other **** i trimmed off with the dremel tool...I trimmed that little lip step down thing all the way to the main part of the bezel, all the way around...

FRED: NO i didnt trimm the rubber grommet under the 4wd shifter..The bolts i installed kinda did though...lol
I DID have trouble shifting into 2HI AFTER making my extension, the shifter was still hitting the bezel EVEN after trimming well...So i made the extension shorter, thats the key having it kinda short..

Although if i do make another one, i would want the shifter extension kinda angled back toward the driver like in a crescent shape, that would prevent the shifter from hitting the bezel.

I had a problem with shifting in reverse too, so i hollowed out a hole in the piece that screws into the truck.

thanks guys really appreciate it.

P.s. For the rubber part i used a rubber insert for tire (dont know how to call it in english sorry) and cut it to fit low in the hole and the top his caught between the metal plate and the floor with two hole on the bottom for the shifter, works great but ill need to find something else cause of the heat, once in a while i can smell the rubber in the truck.
