New project car!

5 Attachment(s)
I'm going to go pick this up Friday to be my new project/drag car. I'll be giving my car to my g.f to drive and sell her car. Then I'll take the money from selling her car and put it towards the black car. Should be a nice project. It comes with all the interior stuff that's missing too. Well over 2k in suspension, I'm getting an amazing deal on it. I'll be in Orlando Fri night picking it up!

The car has a full drag race suspension.
QA1 crossmember with coil overs 90/10's up front
Flaming River manual rack and pinion with steering rod.
Subframes
Holcomb Motorsports Double adjustable uppers and lowers
Rearend is stock with 410's
Aerospace brake upgrade up front not finshed installing yet.
Kirkey seats/rear seat delete.
CC plates
Weld drag lites up front with brand new Mickeys.
Blacked out windows with good tint job.

Never before have I seen Ranger wheels on a Mustang. Looks like you'll have your work cut out for you. I really think you should buy your truck back though.

98liftedranger 01-19-2009 08:44 PM

What motor is going in it?

FX2.3 01-19-2009 08:58 PM

I like the hood on the roof mod!

and the ranger rims are interesting.. and I do have a soft spot for Prostars..

Congrats on the new stang!

Lazler 01-19-2009 09:00 PM

lmfao looks like it would be fun to work on u lucky bastard!

stRanger 01-20-2009 05:57 AM

So it is set up for drag?? How hard is it going to be to convert the suspension over to a more streetable suspension? What motor trans gearing combo you gonna drop in it? The apartment complex not mind workin/building cars in the parkin lot?

More details man!!

freddie 01-20-2009 06:18 AM

Everything is staying like it is. It comes with everything that's missing in the interior. The motor I'm unsure about. I've done nothing but research modular motors the past few months. The car came from the factory with a 4.6, but the previous owner put a 5.0 & c4 in it. But I'd prefer to stick with the 4.6, however we'll see.

If you wanna make it a drag car.. should just drop in a 302

NicksterSVT 01-20-2009 07:52 AM

Hope you know what you are doing Brenton!

JoshK 01-20-2009 07:55 AM

I've got nothing but time & lots of tools (thank God for my old job)! lol

302's are very weak in stock form, the block can't handle over 500hp before it starts to crack. I might not be able to achieve that nice lopey sound from the 4.6, but that's all I know.

This is going to be my dd, so I want the efficiency of the 4.6. I'm NOT going carb'd.

Hmmm sounds like a lot of suspension and other work for a stock motor to go back in. But I will trust you and wait and see what you do as the truck came out great!

EdGe_wannabe 01-20-2009 08:47 AM

Fawk no a stock motor isn't going back in. The car will be at least 500+. Don't you guys worry. ;)

Lord Of War 01-20-2009 01:14 PM

At least your women will be driving a nice ride now. Gotta keep her looking good, lol.

You do remember I used to build 900hp lightnings and cobras right??? Its not cheap, but it can be a streetable setup.

I def remember, but I've got a lot of time for the car. I also start a new REAL job on Sat working for this company..

www.rpmautoworx.com

They do any and everything from motor swaps, oil changes, turbo's etc. They want my to learn everything from a water pump to tearing down and rebuilding a motor.
