It wont take as much as you think. Keep in mind it has the 5.3, I can do everything a silverado can do to their engines, which is alot.

and think...a mustang going fast is cool, but its like an *******, everyone has one. how many "family suv's" do you see on the track that can run in the 12s?
its something called a sleeper...much easier to do with a suv than a mustang.

here, I want you to look at a trailblazer, then talk about family SUV's. I know the guy that built this one and he said he could do the same thing to mine. no SC, all motor(besides the bottle). He runs 10.21's at 132 in the 1/4mile and 7.60's in the 1/8 mile. Rubbing on 800rwhp. I wont go as extreme as he has, but just to show it possible. Video 1 Video 2

and about the mustang thing...believe it or not, Ive already waxed 2 GT's. now whether they knew how to drive or nots a different story.

as far as making it all black, im working that way. Ive already got the windows blacked out, next is to niteshade the tails, then Im going to do like you can on the rangers to black out the headlights. ie...taking the headlights apart and painting the chrome, I'll either do that, or for $60 get head light covers that black out all but the headlight itself and the turns, actually blends nicely on the black ones.

Im not bashing you man,you want something fast but different thats cool you will turn heads. It dont have the kind of $$$ it would take to make a SUV run 12s.

I agree, Im not too crazy about the rear-end. But I like the functionality of being able to still have a watertight area in the back like a truck, but the dry storage of an suv when I need it. I believe you would feel differently about it if you saw first hand the functionality of it.

I like (real)SUVs in general. I loved th storage and functionallity of the water tight back and double hinged tail gate on my '67 Fairlane station wagon. I just don't like the evoys.

acutally, not. My ranger would get 17mpg on a good day. The envoy gets about 18 to 19 average. I do a lot of interstate traveling where according to the instant mileage calc, im running around 22 to 24.

I thought the same when I first got it, but its better than what I was getting with the ranger. I feel its a lot to do with power to weight ratio.
