Made a couple changes to the truck...
When I picked the truck up a month ago or so it looked like this:
I decided to change a couple things. I finally replaced the window trim pieces too that were falling apart and destroyed...
I liked the new 06+ mirrors, so got a decent deal on ebay for them. Also liked the 06+ tails so I got those as well for a decent price and did the L1124r leds. Changed everything to leds actually. Will have to post pics so you can see how bright everything is.
Changed the antenna to a little stubby one and replaced the front painted black grill that was chipping and stuff with a chrome one. Also changed the side marker lights.. replaced the headlights to hold me over until the projector retro fit that I am going to do in the next month or two.
I'm done now though.. other than the projector retro fit. I'm happy with how it looks. For my daily beater I'm really happy with it.
I also changed out my cluster bulbs for leds:
And just as a teaser picture of what I want to do with my projector retro fit...

Yep just leds in the dash. I didn't do anything fancy.
The dash needs 6 for the main illumination:
I used these from superbrightleds.com
Completely changes the look of the cluster. I went with white because I like the contrasting colors. If I would have used red or blue I would have to sand the back of the cluster and then everything would have been one color... I like this look better. Pure white needles with bright green numbers.

The funny part is I saw a thread on ******************** about someone putting the same seats in their ranger and I was like wow those are so nice... Looked on ebay for 2 hours two days ago and found ones for an extended cab... I said darn. Read his auction and he said he had another set from a standar cab... and those were the colors I wanted!
Now I juts have to wait..lol
You want these:
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...ini-wedge.html
Go to the 3rd set down and you are looking for the : WLED-xHP5
One forward firing LED, and then 4 on the side. These provide 360' coverage with zero hotspots. Very very pleased with these!
And they are cheap. You need 6 of them.
I feel bad since I saw the thread noted above and then looked on ebay and found them with in a couple hours...lol But my other friend went to a junk yard and paid the same amount that I did and his are all tan.
Didn't even think about those until you said something, I have to look on ebay for some now!
I'll post more pics here shortly once I get home after this weekend, I might have some on photobucket but it's blocked currently at work.
hmmm... Not sure how I feel about dropped, I'd have to see what another truck looks like with it. My STi's lowered and I actually really like that the truck is high... I almost want to lift it honestly but then it would probably prove to be harder to haul my track bike to and from..etc.
