For load rating, you do not need a LT-Metric tire ("load range" tires), what the truck calls for is a P-metric tire, which is a standard load. There are no problems using LT-metric tires on a ranger.

Please do not go to the tire dealer and insist on them giving you a load range C, you will look like a retard, they only make the 285/75R16's in a LRE.

As for tire pressure, I will keep my mouth shut, because apparently my advice is stupid, and not right, its not like im Michelin certified or anything.......

 

LT=light truck P=passenger. we usually run about 50 psi in the lt tires we install but there usually on duallys and big trucks and work vans. and malydeen is right you'll look rather silly asking for a load range C or a Passenger tire in that size. but you should be alright with it definetly help if you ever need to tow. and as for pressure just throw some beadlocks on run like 15 psi and keep the beast off road lol jk

 

matt you might have missed it, they are a 265 not a 285. alex, i can see running those at 50+, our bus tires are like 90 or more. i think i'll keep things as is for now.

 

In that case you can get a LRC in that size, chances are though that the place you bought them from doesnt carry them and thats why you got the LRE.

My 31s are LT tires and Load Ranger C.

It literally says 31x10.50x15LT Load Range C in big letters around the tire.

So if I had said 31s in 16 inch form (P2??7?R16) they would not include the LT or the Load Ranger rating even though they are the same size?

 

265/70/16 is real close toa 31x10.5x16 itd still be an LT and a load range C if a metric size
