Icon6 New wheels on the stang

Stuck with the black FR500's because I love them. However I decided to step down to a 17" wheel. Tires are to expensive on 18's and I'm wanting to auto-x next year. Tires for the 18's in the size I wanted are about 300-400 a tire vs the 315/35/17 rears that only cost me 130 a tire. I also took the nasty chin spoiler off. I will be putting the new one on this week as well as black stainless lettering for the rear bumper.

It does ride better. The rear of the car feels more planted in corners too.

Thanks ty, wheels are 17x10.5 with a 315/35 tire.

17's are way better. Sure the 18's looked great, but I couldn't run the size tire I wanted without going broke and not really having a good streetable tire.

Thanks man it is a saleen spoiler. I prefer the look of the chin spoiler on the stock bumper, but eventually i'll have a 03 cobra bumper on there.

Not in the long run. Especially not if I start racing next year. I spent like 460 on the tires and around the same on the wheels. By the time I need new tires it'll pay for itself. New set for the 17's under 500. new set for the 18's in the size I want would be around 800-1000. Plus I will be selling the 18's which will pretty much get me back every cent I spent on the new 17's.

Are those Nitto 555s? I had them on my Cougar Bullitt wheels and loved them. My Mom has them on her Mustang now.

The wheels look great! 17s have always just looked right to me on the SN95 cars. 18s can work.... but they don't look proper all the time.

I just put new wheels on my Mustang too but I chose something more controversial lol.

These are summito tires. I'm going to get me a set of DR's for the rear on another set for when i go to the drag strip here.

lol I wouldn't paint it. One thing I like about the stainless lettering is it almost sits flush. Looks real good.
