Nothing new

Well I went out yesterday and got stuck, I was trying to drive diagonally across the runs but I just got pulled into them. I spent 4 hours trying to get myself out before I called for help, I just kept spinning. I got a jack and jacked the 1 side up and put wood under neath but it didn't work!

My friend with his Toyota came and got me out with his winch. Went again today but took it easy seeing as my friend is on vacation for the next week.

Well here are some cell phone pics!

Now I am going to get some new tires within 2 weeks for sure!

scratch that, i don't wanna wheel with you. i'll have to pull you out. the mud doesn't look that deep.

forget tires, i'd go riding with someone and learn how to drive off road.

new tires, better tires, bigger tires. your truck is too stock to be doing what your doing with it. it's not the "off road machine" you think it is.

Probably wouldn't want to put a tiny smudge on his new 08 :)

I was always taught to treat people the way you want to be treated. I think they call that the golden rule? Anyway, I think that should apply to four wheeling too. If you don't want to pull the guy out, then I guess nobody should pull you out either when you get stuck.

Explain?

I've had my mazda in similar off road situations and i was totally disapointed. i got out, but what gives? is it just the tires?

i've never been wheeling with friends and the only time i pulled someone out, was a car rolled into the ditch after a love tap accident. i rolled up and plucked him out.

i do belive in the golden rule, but i bet his friends are getting tired of answering the phone and hearing "i got stuck, whacha doing?".

i know, if i had a friend who always called me to pull him out, i'd be annoyed.
this is like his third time getting stuck in the last month.

he should either ride with a friend and gain experience, wheel with other people, or stop posting everytime he gets stuck.

So if you were to get stuck and had no one around, you wouldn't call somebody to come help you out?

Maybe his friends aren't ones like that. Maybe they don't mind pulling him out, as it sounds like they have the right equipment to do so. I mean, maybe they actually like using the winch that they bought and installed on their vehicle.

I do agree, he should maybe ride with somebody else, but in order to gain true experience, you actually have to go do it. I mean, you can read about wheeling all damn day long, or anything for that matter, but you don't truly know how to do it nor gain experience if you don't actually DO IT. So yes, he has gotten stuck a few times in the last month. It's teaching him not to run that same line like that, and upgrade his truck to better cope with the terrain.

And he can post every time he gets stuck if he wants, whether people post on it or not. IT'S THE FREAKIN' INTERNET!

i would, but i'd also stop until i upgraded my equipment.

Yeah, but he's not from Montreal or Quebec for that matter, so he's alright.

what does me being canadian have anything to do with him getting stuck? he's one also.

where i was going with my ranting was, he seems unexperienced. he should go with other people whether in a group or as a tag along with a friend. and until he upgrdes to a tire with an agressive tread made for the type of stuff he's driving through, he should wait. the comment in my original post about not wheeling with him was sarcasim.

jimmeh, thanks for the compliment.... i think.

reguardless of if you got stuck or not, it looks like your havin a good time. Get some MT's of your preference put on when funding allows though.

I used to be that same guy. Tryin to go where my truck shouldnt an always gettin stuck, 95% of the time I was by myself. I'll tell you one thing. A guy learns how to get creative at getting unstuck when he's by himself.

You can get yourself a warn 8k lb winch for $600 NIB around here. Thats about the same price as set of 31x10.50 tires. Somethin to consider I love mine.

reguardless keep at it, just learn from what your doing.

yeah my mazda was the exact same a week ago... i never had it stuck, but there was a couple times i got close. Anyways after getting the new tires its like a night and day difference. Those rt/s are junk. Other then that the truck looks good, same color i was supposed to get.
