if you would have posted you were going i would have got a couple more rangers to go

 

lol sorry with work and college i only go down with my family 2-3 times a year if lucky >< but entire time i owned this truck my 4x4 lights would blink and not engage so we went too the local repair shop in Waves and joe fixed it in under 24hours for a cheap price i was amazed i got to go on the beachs :)

 

looks like fun but wow huge pics

 

yeah sorry still getting use to making them more forum friendly the cam taking the pics is a very hi-rez cam

well the 4x4 would not engage 3 months after buying it but we had a backup plan to bring our atv down in the ranger but after speaking with local police we found out that atv's had been banned from the beach's about 2-3 months ago so we were quite bummed out till we got the idea to see what the problem was with my rangers 4x4 which turned out being a rusty transfer control switch which got fixed within 24 hours and we were on the beach

 

at least you didnt do what my one buddy did...took his truck on the beach and rolled it because he was doin 30 and decided to try a hard right turn

 

Yeah .. that sucks this being my 1st offroad try with the ranger i took it very slowly keeping it in first gear cruising 15-25 whole way tapping the gas never got stuck once also letting pressure out of tires helped. I tryed offroading in a stock 4x4 blazer before got stuck 2 times and only way to not get stuck keep moving fast/bottom out ford ftw ^^

 

gotta love that end of year soft as hell sand.....

sweet!! you need to come when we have our OBX meet. We just had one this past June. It was an awesome camping meet!!!!!!!!!! going to try and have one next year also. See pics below

hell yeah Dixie looks like alotta fun all but the mud part mines so stock id fear it might get stuck there also the cleaning dont look like much fun other wise very epic looking trip

 

haha it was a great time! and cleaning the mud sucked
