I have ran with tons of weight in the bed of my truck.... last summer I did 14loads of topsoil/mulch mix from the town... each load maxes out the rear suspension. so far this year I am up to 4 loads...

moved 1100 pounds of scrap metal in the 2wd once, had em both loaded to the top with fire wood before, had cinder block in the 4x4, once moved like 15 sheets of 3/4 plywood, they handle the weight well, i've never hit the bump stops yet

not highway speed but we got both over 50 easy 4cyl did fine could not hold as many though the mudflaps where only a half inch above ground and it has light duty shocks the 6cyl has heavy duty shocks and was about 2 inches from bump stops

No actually. the 2.3 and 2.5 lima motors are single overhead cam, with two spark plugs per cylinder.
