A seperate Stave Lake wheelin thread...(better than Jesse's ;) )
Well Saturday nite we decided to have a fire up at Stave. Got a little muddy. Sunday rolled around and I got a phone call that we were going up again. I happily obliged.
Most of the pics of me are me getting stuck, I had too much fun to stop and take pics of me lol.
Only carnage was my truck. I went through a deep deep hole twice, and the third time I thought I would hit it with a little more speed. Bad idea, really bad idea. The truck drowned, and then stalled out. Water was up to the top of my bumper. Figured I would give it one go, and to my surprise, she started right up, and them procede to drive me right out the water. I pulled the lid off the airbox, and this is what I saw:
It'll buff out, don't worry....

Got my buddy Spencer to run me up to Lordco, grabbed me a new airfilter, cleaned out the box and ran it for the rest of the day. I swear to god it ran better that before lol.
All-Terrains for the loss

Epic fail (all 3 were stuck)

And the classic "stand around and look like we know what we are doing" Ended up taking 2 trucks to pull the Heep out.

The GF, the one driving

Spenny getting stuck, he gave a valiant effort, but the mud won.

We were up there for about 5 hrs, so it was a good time. Now I have to go wash off my truck.

NEVER!!!!!
lol yeah they are on the list, along with a body lift and traction bars
I can't believe I missed you haha. We were on the far side of the flats lol. What are the odds that both of us would be up there?

Trails are fun, but I've been there enough that I have ran most of the ones my truck can handle 10+ times. You can only take so many lines to challenge yourself before you get bored. The next step up, you need alteast 35's to avoid winching and seriose body damage. 3-4 times a year the mud flats flood, and the terrain changes just enough to make things interesting. Besides a couple of the guys I was with do not have the skill or patience to hit the harder trails.
looks like fun but once again goes to show how much i hate mud...
I'll take sand thank you. or trails

But now, i swear, my 100k engine runs like it's got 200k on it. :( Of course, mine chugged dirty water on 3 occasions. lol.
