Some cleaning and something new

i did a little cleaning under my hood stealing the idea from trevor.
The means of cleaning:

before:

After:

Ill probably clean up the wires coming off the fuse blocks tomorrow, but for now it looks a lot better.

Now for the new. I decided to wire up an inverter with a switch to leave in the truck so it always there to charge a laptop, phone or whatever. all that is left for me to do is find a single outlet plug in thing that i can wire up and
mount flush next to the switch.
The inverter, it almost fits in the palm of my hand. Tiny.

Where its going. I used this crazy heavy duty velcro stuff to hold it in place.

The plug in will be just to the left of the switch.

^ Under my console has just about as many wires, but like you said it's hidden.

You need to clean your engine!

How many watts is the inverter?

I've used those same Bus fuse blocks before, but I found a little bit nicer one from bass pro shop that I use now, similar to this one http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st...01000_200-1-13 but the one I have in my truck has 12 fuse plugs.

Mine is a 12 place with grounding pad so it would be a bit more. I could have gotten by with an 8 place but it was $4 more and I didnt want to have to buy a bigger one down the road.

I have a 175 watt inverter and it has never failed me. Works great for running my laptop.

Here's the plug wired up. i couldn't find any single black ones so i may end up painting it if it looks too out of place. The start of the hole is where it will be. im waiting on the right size hole saw and some small black bolts.

And i bolted this up real quick.
