Well I just got back last week from taking a vacation down to the Keys. It was a great time and had loads of fun.

Bad news is this is what I came home to...






Apparently we had a mini tornado or something come in one night. Winds were strong enough to take down a healthy branch off one of my pine trees. Of course it lands right on my new ranger. Anyway called insurance the other day and am paying a $500 dollar claim for them to get fixed. Total for the fix is about $3,000. Should be done by this weekend they said last friday.

Damn! The truck at least doesn't look too bad, .... be thankful that it didnt do any damage to your house... that's something that you can at least be thankful for.. that's the bright side lol

I'm optimistic today...... looking for the positivity in things. Something must be wrong.

 

Ouch! That's the reason I always park my vehicles in the garage. But at least theres insurance for stuff like that!

that would **** me off more than if it wa totalled, something about having my truck fixed like that that pisses me off, idk id rather just have the whole damn tree on there

thats one ogre *** branch. sorry to here that man. funny how you go to the keys, where im sure the weather is beautiful, but the crappy weather back home still effects you!

 

That sucks. Atleast its getting fixed though.

 

haha yeah man. It was so great all the way through the keys, but once we got out of the keys the weather was horrible all the way home.

big *** lightning rods, the pine needles hurt too going 65 down the road one day and one stuck in my forearm hanging out the window draws blood real nice

Well so I guess Im not getting the truck back until sometime next week. I guess its ok because I want them to do the best job they can on it. It just sucks driving this rental kia sportage around...

When truck gets back I'll post up some pics.

 

sportage? if its a 4wd one take it out and have fun ..... a while back one of those fancy consumer magazines tested all the "cute utes" and the sportage came out on top ... with the honda cr-v being the worst off road.

 

That doesn't surprise me - the CR-V is good for what it is -- a grocery getter with a really nice interior and good gas mileage. I should know, as I own one. However, my 4X2 Ranger is probably more capable off road.

Falen - That really sucks, but you're right - let them have it as long as it takes to get it right, because it's even more of a pain if something develops down the road and they have to have it again.
