The truck has a new home!

Closed on my first house today. 2bd, 1 bath, 2 fireplaces, 1/2 acre. Everything's been redone and I got a great deal. Can't wait to get moved in and get that $8000 Obama check!! lol F'ing pumped, party at my house this weekend!!!

Here's a few pics my mom snapped, didn't get any of the front of the house.

Congrats on the house!
I was hoping to buy a house this year but I don't plan on staying here for too long. Since I still see shops closing down more and more here, I have no idea how long it will be before the economy turns around in this area. Don't want to get stuck in this place, lol.

Closed on my first place at the end of Feb. It's an awesome feeling. I'd advise saving that money for a few months to be sure there are no surprises lol... there are always surprises! Is there a garage? Where is the second fire place...

And i think they are 8-12wk back on the checks right now, so get that paper work filed and send it off now before it runs out!

Thanks guys!

Yeah, it's a great a feeling. It doesn't have a garage. I'm gonna do a driveway and get one of those metal building 2 car garages.

There is a fireplace in the living room, carpet, and one in the dining room, wood floors.

For sure on the paper work, already on it. I need all the help I can get. lol

Nice looking house. Those fireplaces look awesome. I would like to find a home that has a wood stove in it. I love the smell of "campfire". That back deck looks like its pretty good size. Can I say cookout at Seeds house.

agreed, do an amended 08 return so you get it now, I think they are going to stop in December from what I have heard. That is what I did and got it in 6 weeks

Yeah, I'm glad I got in before the Nov 31 cutoff. I've been looking all year, had a couple nice ones sold out from under me and finally found this one. Everything happens for a reason.

They were talking about doing the exact same thing with the return, they told me 6-8 weeks. So that's the way I'm doing it. Hope everything goes without a hitch.

Does the check have a picture of Obama on it? lol

Thanks, I'll never get rid of the truck. I've still got my Explorer and it hasn't run in 4 yrs. When I pay off something I keep it forever. Got big plans for everything. lol

On a side note. Anybody heard anything more on the appliance rebate. I've heard Nov 1st, $50-200 back.

I've got my old 1970's green fridge with custom stickers and rust. But I went looking at new ones today and wow those things are expensive.

Energystar

That is a list through the Gov. have also heard lowes/home depot has some big discounts atleast in GA this weekend for a tax free holiday for energystar, and watersense appliances etc. So couple that wit a new account possibly with interest free fiancing and you can save some coin!!!!

I've done a ton of research on this stuff, jsut can't afford to do any of it! lol
