Truck washed, need opinions!

Just some boring pictures of my truck all cleaned up. First time I have hand washed it in quite some time.

This is my main decision, should I remove the running boards? They look decent but they're starting to rust and its so hard to clean them off when I go wheeling. Opinions?

Also my front valence is cracked on one side so do you guys think I should take it off and run without one? Or just try to patch it up?

Truck looks great, love the color.

IMO
Ditch the running boards
Paint the grill black
Get clear corners
Paint the flares and front valance fusion black, the same as the grill

Looks good. When it comes to the running boards and valance... id take the boards off. I took mine off and I like the look of it so much better now. And for the valance, your trucks gonna look a lot better with a cracked valance than with no valance so just keep it on.

Eh, but I hate to see him go with blacked out heads/corners like everybody else. I think if the rest of his truck is dark then the clear corners and headlights will stand out and actually look really good. I LOVED the way they looked on my 01.

IMO the running boards just dont have enough width for you to put your foot on. Plus whenever mine were dirty/muddy/whatever I always seemed to hit my leg on the causing me to get the dirt/mud/etc all over either the back of my legs or on my pants legs.

I understand that Scott, but idk. Just seems that everybody is doing it. And he would be different too. Plus it would contrast and I think the chrome of the headlights/corners as well as the chrome bumpers would look good.

I say peel off the stickers on your hood. Also you should take off those steps, and then send them to me

Yeah guys I'm not sure whether I wanna do the headlight mod and then get black corners or just get clear corners.. I'm still up in the air about that.

I'm taking off the running boards tomorrow. They're just too much of a PITA to be worth it.

Rangerboy: Yeah I'd love to fix the tailgate, but being a highschooler I just don't have the money. Even if I did I'd rather spend that few hundred dollars on other mods. lol.

yeah, if you get one from the junkyard or pick-a-part, you might be able to turn around and sell yours on craiglist, even with the slight damage you have...trust me, i've seen way worse looking tailgates on CL...LQTM

i think chrome would kill your truck. love the green color. so id get the black headlights/corners on ebay (found some around 75 bux a pair), nite shade the tails (or get some black ones off ebay for around 75), paint the front grille/valance/fender flares black, ditch the steps and them bed rail things (i had em on mine and took em off, then bought some bad caps from bushwacker), and maybe since you go offroad get a new muffler and turn it down.

I love that color. It is the same as mine. I would take off the steps and fix the valence or get a new one. Don't run without one. I think clear corners would look good too.

Alright I got about $450 to spend on the truck..

Originally I wanted to buy a custom bumper from Custom4x4fabrication but they're just so expensive..

So any other ideas on cheaper alternatives? If not I might just get an eBay grill guard for $250. What else should I use the money on?
