Updated Pics, finally

Got the sliders put on yesterday and painted them today. Bought them on www.trailgear.com

If anyone is considering buying a set or having some made, its tough to beat these. They only cost $99. With shipping and tax, I paid $130. It would be tough to make them yourself at that price. They are HREW tubing which some say isnt strong enough, well let me say this: the frame they are welded to will fail long before these sliders. They are more than strong enough.

bumper is from www.custom4x4fabrication.com

They now make a ranger specific bumper, although last I checked it was not on their website. It is very well made and reasonably priced. It bolts up very similar to the stock bumper. Needless to say, I am very impressed with it.

Surprised the rear of your truck doesn't lift up off the ground with all the weight up front! haha

Nice! I may have to take some measurements on your bumper.

anything I can measure for you? Honestly, even with shipping, its cheaper to buy this thing from custom4x4 than having someone local make it for you... unless of course you can make it yourself lol

wow. i think it kinda looks a tad too big for the truck...kinda sticks out too far and theres not enough height to it for me, but good for you!

Your truck looks sick!!

but now for the other end. not to be hatin
1) HREW sliders wont take abuse near as well as DOM will. but judging by how it looks like you use the truck, you shouldnt have an issue.
2) the bumper bolting to the stock locations? do you have pics? i would run tube or something from the outer edges into the frame, and more around where it bolts up.. if you smack something with it, theres a chance it'll be meeting the grill, head lights or fenders.

I know... I baby it. But, i have no problem takin it on some fairly hard trails now and then. i never have my camera when i really need it. lol

Anyway, The reason I believe HREW is fine is because the frame that it is mounted to will fail before the HREW tubing. I jacked the truck up on the sliders and could see the frame flexing but the sliders were completely solid. If I were to really smack a rock or high center, i would almost gaurantee the frame would simply twist before the sliders failed. just my observation... im in no way saying hrew is better or stronger than DOM, just that it more than does the job for less money.

sticks out just far enough to mount a winch.
