Weekend fun at the house

We had a big oak tree in the front yard that needed to be cut down..it was dead and was just time..

taking it down was nothing..we cut as much off as it as possible..tied up a rope at the top..pulled out the winch got tension on it..started cutting at the bottom..and i just drove back..Ive got a video of that but its on the digy camera..these pics came off the iphone..

Did you get the stump out? I don't know about there but around here there's no way you could pull one out with a truck. Usually dig a trench around the base and use a chainsaw with an older chain that you dont care about dulling. Or just start a fire on top of the stump if it's dry enough

yeah it took me about 2 hours of dig and cutting with a bobcat to get one out that size at my cabin. Only thing I've pulled out with my truck was some big shrubs at a buddies house but I was supprised I did.
