This Weekend's Projects
Built these this week out of 5/16" x 2" aluminum stock that i had laying around.
What could they be?[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
Well, they just happen to bolt into the holes on the backside of the bumper-right here.
[IMG][/IMG]
And then these two round things bolted on.
[IMG][/IMG]
Ran into a snag wiring them up to a second OE foglight switch thats going in this once its polished-out.
[IMG][/IMG]
Along with these--all gloss black Fusion
[IMG][/IMG]
Built the tabs in 2 pieces so I would be able to take them apart to switch out my billet grille for the stocker when the snow starts flying. I ended up flipping them so the rounded tab mounts to the bottom-they were a little too tall the original way and were hitting the grille.

Thanks guys-
Panels are going in next weekend-wanna make sure that paint is fully cure (this time!) before I polish them out a little.
I was going to coat the tabs with Rusto Spray-on Bedliner, but I ended up just polishing them up with some Mothers PowerBall Metal Polish instead. I wish that I had a better way to bend the 90 than with just a bench vise, but they'll work.

After making probably a half dozen steel light tabs I can tell you that I wouldn't be satisfied with the bumper gap. Those things are tall and it's gonna rub the bottom of the grille if I make the gap what I wanted it to be.Good work though. Thought out of the box. But in no time, that shine'll be gone. That area of my truck barely gets washed since I wanted a nice tight backside of light to grille gap. Good work though.
The bezel... how'd you end up doing your second hole?? Did you take an expo bezel and cut out the rear wiper switch and graph on the Ranger cig lighter? Or just dremeled out the new fog hole?? Looks like an uuuber profesh job on that man.

The brakets a pretty tight with the bottom of the grille, but they do clear. Yeah-shine definitely not going to last, but i clean my truck enough this time of year (for shows) that i'll be able to keep up with it. I'll just have to replace the nut & lock washer on the light with a stop nut so I can pop them on and off often.
For the bezel, I just picked up an extra one at the JY, snapped the second swith into the mount, eyballed the general location for the hole, made a template of the original hole and went at it slowly with the Dremel.
