That place looks awesome. Where exactly is that? Any places to set up a tent? How crowded is it in the warmer months? Me and my friends are looking for a few new weekend backpacking trips.

Linville Falls area is great for backpacking. Look up the Mountain to Sea trail, it runs right through there.

Have you backpacked up at Grayson Highlands State Park in VA? Awesome place for a weekend trip

Yeah thats my friend I gave them too.....

Linville is not overally crowded during summer, just depends on when you go (weekday, wkend). It has TONS of trails, great camping/hiking. It is big, but not really if that makes sense. I mean one end of the gorge is near Linville town (super small), the other end runs to Lake James, so people get lost a lot but its really hard, because either way you go your gonna run into some town.....

I dont see how people get lost in the NC mountains, Look on a map, there are towns everywhere or roads. There is no reason one should be lost...
