Ok! I was just wondering if anybody has does a 0 to 60 acceleration on a 2.5L Ranger with the 5 Speed, Stepside, Regular Cab. I am curious on what the time is.
Also has anyone does the quarter mile time too? Thanks!

WOW! Do you have any mods on your truck to make it that Fast ! I don't think that I dare take mine up to the Six RPM'S! Ha Ha! That is Fast!

 

nope, its stock with 142k miles on it. The only thing I can think of is that the new tires I have are 1" shorter than the stock tire size. I used an online calculator, and it showed that the new rear end ratio is about 3.90 because of the smaller tires......it turns slightly higher rpms at cruising speed. The speedo is about 5mph off, thats why I went to 65 instead of 60mph.

 

2.5L is slow slow and more slow lol... 5 speed helps the auto's are just down right DOGS

i have no idea..and i cant remember if i was running the cobras then or not, so the tires were either 255/50r17 or 235/75/15 which are a lot bigger than stock and make the speedo mess up

 

yea, the 235's are about 2" bigger than the 255's you have. I noticed today if I throw it into 2nd quick enough, let out the clutch fast and floor the gas pedal, the speedo need jumps (bounces) some from like 38 to 42.

Well, it didn't bounce while I was shifting, it bounced right when I let out the clutch and stomped the gas pedal. If it didn't "jump" up a few MPH, then the needle just bounce from all the force from the shift. Let me find a corvette video of one going 0-190mph....the needle in that thing jumps around like 10mph.

 

im with ya now, i didnt know you meant it did it after the shift, thought you mean while shifting
