Hey everyone I'm a new guy to the forum!

So I have a 96 2.3 ranger

When I turn on my a/c, it causes the engine to bog down hard, accelerating is extremely slow. Anyone have any ideas?

I also have a '96 2.3, mine does the same thing. Has since brand new.

I think thats just part of having the 2.3

 

Yeah it's done the same thing since I owned it as well, but seems to be a little worse this upcoming summer. There's nothing like being in a 120 degree fabrication warehouse for 12 hours then jumping into your truck where the a/c kills your giddy up.

Oh well, windows down it is. Alas it's not like I'm not used to it by now haha.

Still any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
