Speed?

Speed?
Hey, i have a '99 and ive noticed this for a while. when i drive, say for instance, 30 mph, my speedometer reads '40 mph'. or if im driving 65 mph, it reads 75 mph. ive learned to adjust to this while im driving, but i drive a standard transmission, and im afraid it will screw me up with other manuals when i drive later on in the future, cause im only 17, so i have 50+ years ahead of me driving. anyone know why it is showing up like this?

mmm have you taken the needle off the guage itself? because usually if the speedo is of its of by a % and that difference is more noticable at higher speeds if yours is consistently off by 10mph thats what i suspect
do you have a handheld gps? thats really the only accurate way to tell for sure tho

that shows you how to get the needle off, but you won't have any way of calibrating it. Plus you have smaller tires so the speedo is already going to be off some.
