Exhaust Piping

What is the stock exhaust piping for a 97 2.3L ? I am thinking on going with a flowmaster 40 series either 2" in and 2" out, with the "fake" duals or single inlet dual outlet. Id like to match it to stock size piping to get the best sound/ performance out of it. They also have 2.25" in and 2.25" out as well. I want to be sure it doesnt sound ricey or anything. What you guys think? I think id like to have it exit before the rear passenger side tire. Or id go straight out the back. I just need to know what the stock size piping a 97 ranger 2.3 would have. Thanks.

imo i wouldn't go with a si/do unless you plan to run pipes out of the rear.

i had a dumped si/do and it was realllly loud.

i believe the smallest is 2.25, but i could be wrong,

BTW, ull lose more power with duals, its a 2.3L u want to keep everything it gives ya, i reccommend a 2.25 in and a 2.25 out and have it come out right before the rear right tire.

Im not talking real duals, im talking single in dual out. Not true dual. 5speedin, you run a si/do or si/so now? I can say this 2.3 is much more peppy than my old 3.0 ever was lol.

well i mean this truck is stock, and my 3.0 was too but the 3.0 was so horrible. This gets up and goes pretty good i must say. It has good power and gets great gas mileage cant ask for anything more lol.

So you think running a si/do with like 2" pipes would sound bad or lose much power? I might not go with an exhaust... just because i havent heard a 2.3 ranger with a flowmaster in person. Ive heard 07Sports old black ranger which sounded pretty good and i heard 5speedin and Redneckstone's which is also nice. I think 2-2.25" would be nice. Seems like the bigger the piping the more ricey it sounds. Any opinions?
