4 Cyl 5 speed 1992 170K

I have a oil leak from someware forward in the engine. I'm thinking it's the front seal. is there a good way to verify this is the place it's leaking? Basically the whole engine underside has the fresh oil. I would assume, if it was someware else, the front would not have the oil. Anyway, is the front seal hard to replace? I didn't see anything in the how to section on the front seal. Any suggestions? Would Engine Rx help the front seal area?

 

Any product you add to the oil isn't going to fix the problem. At best mask it. If your referring the the main seal around the harmonic damper, you should be able to pull the damper and the old seal and put a new one on without 2 much difficulty. I would wash the motor down thoroughly and see if you can't pinpoint where the leak is coming from.
