I need a harmonic balancer for my 1997 Ranger and am having a very difficult time finding one. I have had one on back order with the Ford dealer for 2 months now and they are telling me that it won't be in now until December. Can anybody help me find one? I just can't seem to find one for the 2.3 engine with automatic transmission. Any help would be much appreciated.

Don't see how the automatic transmission would make a difference. I'd try an online Ford dealer. When I had to replace mine, I went to my local Ford dealer, next day they had one for me. This was about 8 months ago.

 

Tranny doesn't make a difference. I just put that in there just in case someone wanted to know. I tried the Ford dealer and it has been on back order since the beginning of August and they are telling me that it is back ordered until December. I can't wait that long.
