By the way guys awesome truck for having 245,000 miles. Someone must have rebuilt this before! It's not getting quite as great gas mileage as I expected so I'll checking into some sensors after I run a little seafoam through the injectors and brake booster. But I'm very happy with it and after I replace the upper/lower ball joints it should be day-to-day dependable for a while. Pictures coming soon, but first I have to fix the little hole in the roof where they installed a CB antenna....:(

I just plugged it.
And I was keeping up with my mileage but the odometer quit turning.
Found a service bulletin on it but I'll mess with it later cause these balljoints are shot. I just had a freakin blast doing the uppers on both sides, it's time for the lower ball joints tomorrow.

Ford recommends Automatic Transmission Fluid. But what I drained out was a mystery.

How to change the spring shackle and hanger on your Ford Ranger
My mistake, I didn't know what I would be dealing with when I looked under this truck I've never owned before and somebody said that it was common and expensive to replace, but thanks for the info.
Luckily it's southern and there's not a spot of rust underneath it except for the muffler but who cares about that.

Finally got pictures up of the truck! It's a tough little thing. But question-anyone know what that module is that I'm holding in my hand? Found it dangling near my exhaust manifold. I don't like it.
Anyways, tell me what you think.

OH YEAH haha it's not on the a/c compressor. It locked up on the guy I purchased the truck from so he bypassed it with a shorter belt. And of course I haven't fixed the air yet cause it's cold in Memphis right now and the heat works fantastic.
