I have a 2000 ranger 2.5L. For the past three years in October and November, when it is cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon I have trouble with my truck restarting. It typically happens when I have been running around in the afternoon. I will drive around town and stop at a store real quick and when I come out my truck won't start. If I let it sit for 20-30 mins it fires right up like nothing was ever wrong. My truck has approximately 143,000 miles, I have had my fuel pump checked and it is still running strong, and I have replaced the fuel filter twice. The rest of the year it runs just fine. If anyone else has had this problem or knows what is wrong I would greatly appreciate your help, because i have been unable to figure it out on my own.
