I need an idea of what a good aftermarket muffler would be for my little 2.3? Want something with a deep tone, no fart can noises. Im cutting off after the cat and clamping on and bringing a side pipe out under the bed. Also will have 231k have any effect at all? Thanks guys

 

I installed a flowmaster 40 series on my ranger and she has a very deep tone with a rumble truck sounds great

 

My 96 2.3 has 2.5" pipe, no cat, 40 series flowmaster with turn down before the axle......sounds great to me.....good deep tone! Oh and im sittin at 221k+

 

So I did get it to sound like a v8 guys. I cat deleted it to a flowmaster super 10 to dual 5 inch tips. BUT this winter the motor transmission and transfer case are coming out of my 92 f350 (351w with a c3) and it’s getting converted to 4x4 and a v8.

 

I'm needing a new sound for my 2.3 also. The new license plate for the Ranger has "007" with my grandpa's initials. My grandpa and Ian Flemming were about the same age. So......... I'm thinking this is the universe's way of letting me know what my grandpa REALLY WAS!!!!

Is there a way to tune the exhaust to play the James Bond theme?
