oil filter napa7348

my littledudeeconotruck has a napa 7348 oil filter which i feel is too small. it started leaking at about 3000k into the oil cycle and is still seeping oil despite my snugging it up a few weeks ago. the oil looks brownish with black. I want a bigger filter anyway as those small ones are only good for 3k max. and that's no good either for a 5k oil interval.
any suggestions?
thanks a lot, i love my little truck. mostly. 112,000 miles old fleet truck from Minnesota now in
So. Tejas. I take care of it. no leaks. don't drive it much though. blend oil.

reading what all has been said I would choose almost any filter -almost any- but the size of them to me, is scary! too small! going with a larger filter.
Great Site, even with no direct replies, the information is here, no problem.

Motorcraft or Wix are always safe bets. I've run Motorcraft since I bought my truck at 42k and it now has 203k without issue after regular oil changes.

Viewed this and saying Thanks! as I ready myself to go to walmart for a motorcraft filter and a quart of blended oil to make up for what I am taking out.
It has a napa gold filter now which is ok but it leaked even after I snugged it up a bit a couple 3 weeks ago, so figuring its just too small and full of foofandnargden off it comes after only about 3200 miles which HAS to be the limit of those little things in this hot, dry and dusty mostly south texas environment. But hey, we just had 5" of rain - our first significant rainfall in a year, a week or so ago. air filter already done did last oil change. its all good. mostly :)

NAPA oil Filter

Hi Fordzilla80, et'al readers. I have yet to cut open the little NAPA oil filter, and now probably will not ever. I got a larger filter that fits: Motorcraft FL400s.
It is used for a bit bigger Ford, Mercury etc. engines and suits me just fine.

Same one I've used for twelve years, and never had an issue with. Good choice.
