PCV valve replacement

Hi,

As all of you know, you better change your pcv valve every 100 000 miles or so. So I ordered
one from tascaparts.com (EV-147A) for my 2.3 L 97 ford ranger.
I was very suprised when I found out this PCV valve has to elbow while the current one has only one elbow.

The delear said this is the correct part but he don't know why mine has only 1 elbow/nipple. Me neither !!

Does anyone had the same problem ?

I don't know what to do with this new one.

Please help.

two elbows might be for other options that require extra vac lines? cap one elbow and it should work.

Does the double elbow come off? After thinking about this I remember replacing my PCV way back in the day, and the double elbow was on the unit I bought, but it was snap fit, and came off leaving the inline version.

Actually the 2 elbows are one plastic piece and it can come off. By doing this, my PCV valve lokks like the 2nd photo I posted.

Can it be installed like that way ?
