Where is it, and how do I get to it?

Haines manual said I need to remove the air box, but cannot get the bottom to disconnect from the intake ducting.

Follow hoses that come out of the intake and you will find it. Ford puts PCV valves in strange places on Lima engines. Mine is under the intake manifold next to the head, but I think it is in a different place for 2.3s.

 

you do need to take the airbox out to get to it... i dug up my old haynes manual to check... its really strange cause its in the middle of a tube on the drivers side of the engine... sorry i cant remember any more but i got rid of that truck 2 1/2 years ago

 

Wait, it is on the drivers side? Why do I need to remove the air box.

Thought I was going crazy. had the whole passenger side apart, battery and all.

 

yeah im a little confused about the pictures in the haynes manual too... if i remember correctly you need to take the intake tube off right beside the intake manifold and its under there somewhere... im sorry i dont remember better but it was a really long time ago when i did this to mine
