Question about mechanical oil psi gauge

I want to put an accurate non dummy gauge in my 1992 ranger. Do i need the dummy gauge and all or can i just replace the sender deal with the brass fittin and run my nylon tube into the cab? thanks in advance

You can just put use a few extra fittings and a tee and run them both at the same time.

May as well if it isn't working. If it's just the sender it'd be worth having both though, I hate having dead gauges in the dash!
