"ToolTip"
I just wanted to post about a neat tool I recently found and purchased; The Lisle Large 3-5/8" Hose Clamp Vise part # 44480. https://www.jbtools.com/lisle-44480-...ge-3-5-8-long/
I got it from JB Tool but I think it's available on Amazon and WalMart.com.
It works great on the constant tension spring clips and doesn't slip off like pliers do all the time. Just apply the vise to the clamp, expand the clamp with a 1/4" ratchet or nut driver,
slip the clamp over the hose leaving the clamp in place, then loosen the clamp when you get it where you want it.
I haven't used it on the truck yet but after testing it out on the spring clamps it works really well.
There's also a smaller version for smaller clamps- The Lisle 44500 Small Hose Clamp Vise.

Unfortunately neither tool seems to be in stock on JBTools and the prices have jumped a lot since I bought the large one a couple weeks ago.
Their shipping costs are high too so if you're interested in either tool, maybe try to find them somewhere with better prices and lower shipping.
I almost bought one of each but the total, with high shipping and tax was just too much so close to the end of the month. At the time the small clamp vise was selling for $17 and change, now it's $21.23 but out of stock.
