As soon as I got the truck home started dumping fluid
Hello, I purchased an 89 ranger yesterday and as soon as I got it the 40 minutes home it started dumping fluid. I found the leak and I believe it's coolant but it's coming from a tube that starts near the oil filter on the engine and comes around the left side. I believe it's supposed to be a plug? Am I fine just stuffing a screw in the tube like the previous owner did or should I be able to plug it directly from the engine?
thanks.
thanks.

So 1989 Ranger with 2.3l Lima engine
I think you might be describing coolant hose for the intake manifold
Google: Ford Ranger Intake Manifold Hot Water Bypass - Cooler Air In 5 Minutes
5:13 video, See if that's what previous owner was trying to do
