Have some questions

Ok I have some questions, I have a 97 Ranger. I have about a $1,000 that I want to put into it. What can I do? I was thinking exhaust, intake, sub, and what else?

Not really sure on what to get. I want the best sound that I can get out of my 2.3, lol. So whatcha think?

-Thanks

just started a thread in this forum showing the gains a tuner will give, pretty impressive for a 4 banger, about 14 rqhp and 20 rwtq gains using just an 87 tune. for a filter stay with the paper one for now, a K&N wont give you any power difference you can feel. other than the tuner, an efan is really the only other truly effective mod.

as far as suspension, lift it if you want, who cares. lower it if you want. leave it alone. its your truck do what you like, not what other people think is cool. set your priorities and a budget, and do what you can with what youve got

For me, I plan on popping on a canopy, and throwing a lovesak in the back, with my portable dvd player :]

Other than that I was thinking of flowmaster...intake sounds like a waste of $$$
possibly an e-fan. I don't have the truck to go fast tho, i have it for truck purposes...so i plan on putting more money into the bed than the motor..

as long as the truck is 96-up (with the OBD-II system) we can get a tune for it. not sure if the numbers would be the same but i would expect them to be similar
