transmission question...

How hard is it to drop the tranny and replace the clutch, and possibly the slave cylinder in a 92 ranger with the mazda tranny? And what's teh estimated cost of parts for this situation?

You can do it yourself if you have the tools.

Do you want a stock clutch in there? If so check this place out. Also change the slave cylinder while you have everything out. All their kits come with one anyway.

I've done the exact job your talkin about a couple times now and its not 2 bad. That little mazda trans is pretty light and easy to work with. The only tool you "need" is a removal tool for the hydraulic lines that run to the slave cylinder, it can be done with a few screwdrivers but its not much fun that way. I always had a harder time with the hydraulic system than anything else. Not much fun to bleed.
