I've heard the turbo kits are not really full kits and the turboing the truck is way more expensive. I would like some feedback on your opinions which is better both are good options to me but I would like to know what one is least expensive and still produces the power to make it fun. All in all I want the best bang for my buck without breaking my bank.

Do some research on the 4 banger mustangs with the 2.3 lima, tons of guys race them and they are the same motor as the ranger so you may get some more knowledge from stang folks. I know supercharger kits are available, procharger makes one. But in the short time I had my old fox body 2.3 my research pointed to turbos being the best option for that particular engine. Either way a boosted engine will never exactly be cheap. Even though your average Joe could just "bolt on" most of the kits. They don't exactly function right unless the rest of the engine is tuned for it. That requires computer work and dyno time at least.
